Dr. Pat Dargan
Lecturer and Researcher
School of Food Science and Environmental Health

Pat Dargan (BA, BA (Hons)Arch, DipArch(Hons), PG Cert (Arch Practice) (All from Greenwich), MA (Urban Planning Studies), PhD (All from East London) is an architect and planner by profession, with a special interest in heritage and sustainability. Dr Dargan's academic, research and professional interests are concentrated in the history and sustainability of the human environment, particularly in regard to town and village planning and he has extensive experience in the planning and sustainability of the urban heritage. He lectures in the concepts and design of heritage walking routes on a range of undergraduate and post graduate programmes in DIT. He has also published and lectured widely on the subject of heritage walking routes. In addition, Dr Dargan has been actively involved in the preparation of a series of development and action plans with a specific focus on the sustainability of urban and environmental heritage.
